Out 1: 12V for home router 
Out  2: 5V 3A dc/dc module
Out 2: any voltage 
C1: 16V 83(500/6)F
R1: 100 Ohm 2W or 330 Ohm 1W
D1: 3a schottky diode

widely available from amazon or eBay

Assume discharge  from 12v to 6.5v, voltage  drop is 5.5v.

  • Run time calculation
Assume  Raspberry Pi is consuming  0.5A at 5V, which is 2.5W.
The run time for Raspberry  Pi is 502s which is about 8 minutes.

This UPS is maintenance free (normal UPS needs battery which will be replaced regularly).
