Power Google Nexus 4 mobile phone with an external 18650 battery - RustyOx - 07-07-2022 [title_image] I have a Google Nexus 4 connected to a raspberry pi (as home automation server) all the time. The battery expended ( get bigger ) with gas inside like a balloon, so I decided to replace the battery with Sony 18650 battery which taken out from my original battery pack of the Trek BionX ebike. Initially, I only connected two power pin, the phone doesn't power up. I guess the middle pin not connected is thermistor which may needed for power up check. The resistance between the middle pin and ground is measured about 62k, so I connected a 68k resister between middle pin and ground, and it works. The battery is LG BL-T5 2100mAh. I guess the Android OS failed to communicate to the battery to find out the battery capacity etc., And issue reboot command. |
